Several years ago, I wrote an article about building a wall.  The article showed an allegorical photo of a brick wall with several bricks missing randomly in the photo.  The article tried to convey the idea: if we build a our theology, paradigms, and beliefs on brittle or missing information, then our wall will become weak. As a result, we will find ourselves late in life with a penetrable wall and need to go back to square one to rebuild the wall again.  SquareOne largely came from this concept. We must tear down our disillusionments and be without doubt that our beliefs come from solid scriptural commands and not the inventions of men.

 

As SquareOne ministry evolved, so did the mental imagery of the name. When you look at a Rubik's Cube, the puzzle seems simple. Many of us have seen the videos where competitors time themselves to see how many seconds is needed to complete the Rubik's Cube puzzle. However, if you've ever tried to manipulate one, you likely noticed there are hundreds of variations of patterns. Despite these hundreds of variations,  achieving six color coordinated sides seems impossible. In fact, "the classic cube, the 3x3x3 Rubik's cube has approximately 43 quintillion 43,252,003,274,489,856,000 combinations. This would take years to solve if one were to simply depend on chance or luck. This is why knowledge of combinations and how they work... is necessary.” *

 

The first step to solve a Rubik's Cube is to find your center square - Square One. This is the purpose of SquareOne Ministries: to lead those looking for theological solutions to the center of it all, of whom we believe is Christ.

 

With this purpose in mind, we can't simply teach people a seven step algorithm or give them a paint brush and six different colors of paint. That concept is what our colleges and media are telling us religion consists of: paint brushes and seven step programs to happiness. This aligns with what main stream culture tells us of "your truth is true for you, while my truth is true for me.”  

 

SquareOne is designed, and continually being redesigned, to give answers showing why there are thousands of Christian denominations, broadly estimated around 34,000 - 45,000 **, yet there is only one truth. Many of those denominations hold fractions of the truth, but very few retain all of the original doctrines of Jesus and the Apostles.
